Brent, What happened to your training logs on your website. I look at them a lot. Thank god I had printed a couple of your cycles out. When you were squatting with the blue band were you box squatting or free squatting? Do you credit good mornings for your prestigious lower back strength ? On reverse hypers when you say 7 plates, is that on each side or total? I hope to get 1000 in the squat on Sept 19th in the UPA meet in Kennewick.

I never squatted with bands on a box.
I tried it once a couple years ago after I retired but still, to this day, think it worthless.
I always thought lower back strength for me, came from deadlifts and good mornings. If you want to squat 1000, you should be able to do good mornings with over 550 pounds.
Reverse hypers was 7 plates each side. I did swing the weight though....i actually thought it was more important because when you don't swing you don't get the full stretch at the bottom end and you're starting from halfway through the motion. Now, lifters could argue that you're still only starting halfway if momentum is just swinging through, but I wanted a full range. The swing has to be semi-controlled or it's worthless.
Hope you get the grand my friend.

Thank you Brent. You are still the MAN! Your accomplishments are still unequaled with your squat depth!
